Sound Engineering and Music Technology Studio Training Courses.  The Deep Recording Trust independently manage and run a non-profit training program providing industry standard recording facilities and services for all individuals wishing to train, update and learn the employable skills required for all sound and music recording industries. We deliver small class sizes and advanced hands-on, practical training in all aspects of sound recording, engineering, music and studio technology, production, mixing and mastering techniques.The following info provides a subject overview for each level of approved study. Enrolling open for new applications All courses are free to Under 19's including 4, 6 and 12 month course part time study. Apply now for 2 years free studio training and FE certified education. You can also qualify for a Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) of £30 per week.All trainees at deep will have equal and professional audio resources and equipment at all times during your study with deep and a fully fitted industry recording studio environment in which to practice their skills. All studio technical examinations deep deliver are generally 70% practical and 30% theory, the recording studio is YOUR classroom! During your study with deep you will be learning alongside our music industry recording engineers inside a purpose built recording studio. All examinations you study with deep lead to a 'high content' certification. All materials and media you use are of the highest quality stock available. You will produce a personal portfolio of evidential work on all courses.Commitment & attendance is very important and failure to achieve in either case may fail your final certification. Class sizes in all subject areas are no bigger than 6-10 trainees per lesson. Interruptions and disruptions to study are not allowed. All applications to any deep courses or activities are only via deep, directly in writing. There is a waiting list for all the deep courses. Referrals are not generally accepted.Please apply in person.No exams are required as entry to any of our professionally approved courses.
